Faqeeh-E-Azam Hind Maulana Mufti Mohammad Abdul Rasheed Khan Sahab (R.A) has put the foundation of one of the most famous Madarsa (School) in Nagpur. Muslim children came here to learn and recite Quran good ethics.
Maulana Mufti Mohammad Abdul Rasheed Khan Sahab (R.A.) was born on 15 th Nov. 1905 in the well-known and respected family of Yusuf Zai Pathan at Zaideen Area of Haswah village in district Fatehpur He studied under Maulana Huzoor Sadarul Afazil Sahab (A.R.) in Madarsa Jamia Naeemiya. He got certificate on 25 th Feb. 1923. He took baith (become a murid) on hand of Aala Hazrat Huzoor Ashrafi Miyan Kichochavi (A.R.) and got successor ship (Khilafat) on 16 th Aug. 1929. After getting khilafat, he taught in Jamia Ashrafia, Kachocha Sharif, and in Jamia Arabia in Nagpur. He has written many articles related to deen in the newspaper “ Alfagih Amritsar” and in magazine “ Alswadul Azam” His famous composition is “ Tasheelul Masadir” a basic Persian grammar book added in the syllabus of every madarsas in whole India as well as out of India. Mualana Mufti Mohammad Abdul Rasheed Khan Sahab (R.A.) was died on 24 th Dec. 1974. May God shower lights full of light (Anware pur Noor) on his holy grave and gave us lots of prosperity from his holy and prosperous soul till the judgment day Ameen.
After the death of Maulana Mufti Mohammad Abdul Rasheed Khan
Sahab (R.A.) Maulana Mufti Mohammad Abdul Qadeer Khan Sahab took
the responsibilities of his beloved father and came on the path of success to
fulfill his and his beloved father’s dreams.
Maulana Mufti Mohammad Abdul Qadeer Khan Sahab was the
fourth and youngest son of Mufti Mohammad Abdul Rasheed Sahab. He was born on 8
th Aug. 1958 in Nagpur. He took his basic education under
the bet vision of his beloved father. He got certificate and Dastarbandi in
1968. Muaulana Sahab has a bachelor degree and a post graduate degrees
in Arts, done from Nagpur University and Hyderabad University
respectively. He also passed out Marathi Sahitya exam from Nagpur education Board. Maulana Sahab is a polite soft hearted and kind natured
man. He has got a heredity quality to impress someone in first meeting.
After holding the responsibilities of Jamia Arabia Islamia, Maulana
Sahab has stepped in with new techniques and syllabus for today’s
education and has opened a new range of schools and college.
In 1983, He has started Jamia Arabia Rasheedia Education Society. Following to this in 1985, he has started the Rasheedia Urdu Primary and
Middle Schools. Then he built up a sine started new building and after
getting permission he opened the Taj Tibbiya College of Unani Medical in
the year 1990. From where many students are become a successful and
independent doctors providing their service to the society. Adding to this
college, Maulana Saheb opened the Rasheedia Hospital it has facilities of
sine OPDs and also has ECG machines.
In the year of 2001, Mufti Sahab got the permission of Rasheedia
High School enhancing on his success, he was permitted to open Umme
Salma Girls Joiner & Senior College of Science and Arts in 2002 and after
only one year he also got the permission for Umme Salma Girls Junior
College of Science and Arts.
Umme Salma Girls Senior College of Science and Arts is situated in
Rasheed Nagpur, Nal Saheb Chowk, Timki Road, Nagpur-440018.
It is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University. College is running on the basic of permanent non-granted college. This is
an exclusive girls, college of Muslim minority. This College has syllabus
of literature I Urdu, Arabic, English and Hindi languages for B.A. stream
For B.Sc. stream, its syllabus includes chemistry, Zoology and
Microbiology. The college has a campus of 0.1175 acre. Its built up area is
7640 sq. mtr.
About us
Jamia Arabia Islamia is a famous centre of Islamic learning in Central India. It is situated at “Nal Sahab Chowk, Rasheed Nagar, Nagpur, the well-populated area on Nagpur. It is not only a religious institution but also a movement of higher religious education in this region. It is a bright truth that the inspiration of obtaining the higher religious education was created in the heart of Muslim youths after the establishment of this institution.
It was founded by Mufti Mohammad Abdul Rasheed Khan Sahab who came from a famous Zameendar family of Fatehpur Haswa of Uttar Pradesh in 1906 A.D. His father’s name was Munshi Azim Dad Khan.
He got his Primary religious education from Sayyed Qutbuddin alias Barhamchari, a renowned Alim of Fatehpur Haswa.
After that he proceeded to Muradabad (U.P) where he obtained higher religious education from Maulana Sayyed Naimuddin Sahab the commentator of Holy Quran.
He completed his education in 1925 A.D. chose the profession of teaching. He rendered his services in Agra (U.P.) Rawalpindi (Pakistan) Koh Mari (Pakistan) Dhoraji (Gujrat), Kathiyawad (Gujrat), and Kachocha Shareef (U.P.) respectively.
He come to Nagpur in 1937 A.D. for the same purpose Unfortunately an institution of higher religious learning did not exist at that time in Nagpur. He felt this need and started a small madarsa (School) on Ist January 1938 A.D. in a rented house at Qasabpura locality.
His two beloved students Maulana Sayyed Muzaffar Husain Kachochvi (Ex. Member of Parliament) and Maulana Mohammad Khaleel Kachaochvi were his assistants at that time.
God helped him in his good cause and with donations from the people he purchased a big house Ist the area on Nal Saheb where he started the institution viz “Jamia Arabia Islamia” from 9th January 1940 A.D.
The development of the said institution is actually the result of the personal efforts of Mufti Mohammad Abdul Rasheed Khan. Besides the religious institute he established Darul Ifta (Department of Religious Decision) and Darul Isha-at
(Department of publication) it and laid the foundation of religious library.
He arranged the classes of primary religious education to higher religious education there.
He established the department of Qirat (Art of Recitation of the Quran),
Hifz (Art of the preservation of the Quran in memory) Nazra (Art of the Reading of the Quran), Tajweed (Art of the Quranic Pronunciation) and Dars-e-Nizami (The syllabus framed by Mulla Nizamuddin Sahab,
the ancestor of the famous Farangi Mahal family of Lucknow came to be known under the name of Dars-e-Nizami).
Besides these departments he established the department of Maulvi, Maulvi Alim, Maulvi Fazil and Munshi, Munshi Alim, Munshi Fazil according to the prospectus of the Oriental Learning Examinations in Arabic and Parsion of Nagpur University.
He also established the department of Adeeb, Adeeb Mahir, and Adeep Kamil in 1954 A.D. according to the prospectus of Jamia Urdu Aligarh. Thus this institution become a great centre of higher learning of Arabic, Parsian and Urdu languages.
